IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pearly
Fournier
March 1, 1932 – May 27, 2020
Fort Kent--- Pearly Fournier, 88, passed away on May 27, 2020 at a Presque Isle health care facility. He was born in Eagle Lake, Maine on March 1, 1932, son of the late Donat and Leantine (Bouchard) Fournier. Pearly was known as a legend from Aroostook county all the way to Portland. He loved fishing and hunting, especially with his best friend Roy Roalf. If he wasn't at home, you could find him in his boat, in his fishing cabin, or sitting with his wife looking out the window of his camp. He was always waiting for that opportunity to go out and catch the 'big one'. Pearly was a painter by trade and was particularly good at it. Pearly left his home at the age of 16 years and moved to Connecticut. At the age of 18 years, he joined the air force as a fireman. He settled in Connecticut and raised 5 children, eventually moving back into Aroostook county. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Doris (Dube); three children, Donna Parent of Eagle Lake, Michael Fournier of Eagle Lake, and Beverly Fournier of Winterville; eight grandchildren, Robert Parent, Lisa Burress (Ryan), Heather Fournier, Pearly Fournier, Mark Forino, John Forino (Mindy), Danielle Forino, Steven Polakowski and his companion Chelsea Munson, Brad Plourde, Chad Plourde (Callie); 19 great grandchildren; sister, Pearl Saucier; and brother, Pete Fournier. Pearly is predeceased by one son, Levi Fournier, daughter, Doreen Fournier, granddaughter, Katie Plourde, 2 brothers, Glen Fournier and Levi Fournier, and a son-in-law, Robert Parent. With social distancing practices, and masks required, A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am on June 5, 2020, at St. Mary's Church in Eagle Lake. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
