Madawaska

Madawaska, ME—Peter J. Boucher, 64, went to his heavenly home in the arms of our Lord on May 8, 2026.

Peter’s passing was peaceful with his loving companion by his side. He was born on October 10, 1961, son of Albert and Omerine (Desjardins) Boucher.

Peter graduated from Madawaska High School in 1980. Upon his graduation, Peter went to work in Connecticut, returning to Madawaska after a few years. Peter then worked at Fraser Paper (Twin Rivers) as a machinist, then as a pipefitter. Peter was an avid sports fan of the Boston Bruins, Red Sox and Washington Commanders. He enjoyed listening to music, playing his harmonica, singing and playing his guitar in his “Man Cave.” He enjoyed visits from his longtime best friend Ken Levesque, reminiscing about the days gone by. He enjoyed quiet evenings with his companion Gail Bourgoin, watching a good movie and sports. Peter enjoyed spending time with family at the camp in the summer and BBQs on the deck and enjoying the hot tub and swimming pool. Peter often talked about his children. Even though Peter was old school and had a stubborn streak, he loved his children very much.

Peter is survived by one son, Corey Boucher of Grand Isle; his loving companion, Gail Bourgoin; longtime friend, Ken Levesque; and God children, Ben Gagnon and Hayazl Bryam, which he loved very much; his dog, Duke, which kept him very busy; aunts, uncles, a niece and cousins.

Peter was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Omerine (Desjardins) Boucher; sister, Carol Boucher; brother, Steven Boucher and daughter, Candida Boucher.

A graveside service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Northern Maine Hospital and Hospice Care services for the care they provided.
