Obituary

Grand Isle---Philip J. Beaupre, 83, passed away on August 26, 2024, at a Portland health care facility with his family by his side.  He was born in Boston, MA on October 26, 1940, son of the late Addis and Norma (Morrow) Beaupre.  He worked at Fraser Paper for forty-four years until his retirement and loved every minute of it.  After retirement, he was an avid gardener and always donated the fruits of his labor to many organizations and people of the community.  He loved watching all sports.  He was a lifetime and committed member of the Grand Isle Fire Department.  He was a plethora of information and history, always telling stories of the past.  Family meant everything to him, and really enjoyed spending time with them.  Philip is survived by four children, Philip Beaupre, Jr. of New Hampshire, Michael Beaupre and his wife Tammy of New Hampshire, Bonnie Cyr and her husband Dave of St. David, Amy Dixon and her companion Rodney Cyr of Madawaska; seven grandchildren, Dee, Harley and her fiancé Vincent, Kelly, John and his fiancée Kylie, Adam, Ryan, Samantha; four great grandchildren, Elijah, Iziah, Avacyn, Lylah; one sister, Helen Beaupre of Grand Isle; many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his wife, Antoinette (Gorneau) Beaupre; two siblings, John Beaupre and Marie Grivois.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the St. Gerard Church in Grand Isle.  Relatives and friends may offer their condolences at the church on Friday from 9am until 9:45am before the Mass.  There will be a celebration of life meal at the community center in Grand Isle after the interment at the Parish cemetery
