Berube

Madawaska--- Philip J. Berube, 70, passed away July 15, 2025, at a Bangor hospital, following a sudden illness. He was born January 27, 1955, in Van Buren, a son of the late Lauretta (Violette) Berube and Bertram Berube.
He was a lifelong truck driver and ran the roads for Albert Farms for over 30 years. He also hauled for RF Chamberland for several years. Phil was a devoted member of Lighthouse Church, Madawaska, and was a true giver of his time and energy to people in need. Phil loved sports, especially ping pong battles with his family and friends. He also enjoyed heading to the woods to embrace the God's beautiful creations. His passion was his family, church family, and was so proud to earn the title "Pepere," and will be remembered as a dear friend, wonderful husband and loving father.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Ruth Cyr Berube of Madawaska; two children, Andrew Berube and his wife Suzzette of Manchester, and Sharon Bailey and her husband Joseph of Fall River, MA; two stepsons, Brandan Cyr of Michigan, and Nathan Baron of Cross Lake; seven grandchildren, Collin, Noah, Neeva, Bryson, Donovan, Aniyah, and Adrian; three siblings, Elaine Bridges, Laurie Dumont, and Patrick Berube; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Phil was predeceased by one son, Matthew Berube, in 1999, and a brother, David Berube
Relatives and friends may greet the family 9 – 11 AM on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Lajoie Funeral Home, 114 – 10th Ave., Madawaska. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11 AM at the funeral home, with Pastor Raymond Hebert officiating. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Madawaska.
