Madawaska---Philip Hebert, 77, passed away on January 11, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family.  He was born in Edmundston, New Brunswick on January 5, 1948, son of the late Nivard and Lena (Dufour) Hebert.  Phil enjoyed the outdoors, but especially loved fishing and hunting with his cousin, Chad Albert.  He is survived by his wife, Louise (Couture) Ouellette of Madawaska; one brother, Robert Hebert and his wife, Cindy of Madawaska; two sisters, Gloria Hebert of Bangor, and Murielle Hebert of Connecticut; many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brother, Bert; one grandson, Kyle; and one nephew, Jason.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church.  Relatives and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday.  There will be no visiting hours on Thursday.  Interment will take place at the Caribou Veterans Cemetery in the spring.
