St. Francis--- Queenie McBreairty, 92, passed away on September 22, 2021 at her home. She was born on March 15, 1929, daughter of the late Melvin and Isabelle (Hafford) McBreairty. She was a licensed Cosmetologist in Connecticut, and was also a cook at a nursing home in New Milford, CT. She later worked for Sears for quite some time in Torrington, CT. Queenie is survived by her two brothers, Hilton McBreairty and Niles McBreairty; one son Forrest McBreairty and his partner Margaret Gatanis; one daughter, Regina Kelly; four grandchildren, Steven McBreairty, Maureen McBreairty, Michelle McBreairty and Lance Kelly; along with 10 great grandchildren. Queenie is predeceased by her parents, Melvin and Isabelle (Hafford) McBreairty; one sister,  Melva Oberg; one brother, Gene Tunney McBreairty; one daughter, Colleen McBreairty; one grandson, Ryan Kelly; one son in-law Niles Kelly. Funeral services will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
