Obituary

Allagash - Ransford "Pike" Kelly, 89, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 11, 2024. Pike was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and a lifelong friend to many. He was also a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Allagash and loved his Lord and Savior.

Pike, also known as Bearcat, loved to drive truck, and did so for 58 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, fish, canoe, anything that involved being outside. He loved to visit with everyone, talking of days past and the Lord.

Pike was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Penny Jean Kelly, parents Harley Kelly and Elizabeth Jackson Kelly, and grandson Codyallen Bennett. He was survived by his sons Timmy Kelly and wife Karie, Randy Kelly and wife Lisa, both of Allagash, Kevin Kelly and wife Linda of Milford, ME, and Darren Kelly and significant other Blair Pelletier of St. Francis, ME, daughters Lynn Hebert and husband John of Fort Kent, ME, Carla Albert and husband Allan, and Bethann Thibodeau and husband Rodney, both of St. Francis, ME. To his 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, he was known as "Papa" or "Pup", a name he loved and will always be remembered by.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at NMMC that took such great care of him. A memorial service will be held for Pike on December 21 at the Allagash Community Center at 10am, with a Truck Procession starting at 8am at Marty Pelletier's garage. All are welcome to attend!
