ALLAGASH - Ransford Thomas Begin, 76, surrounded by his loving family, left the bonds of earth and was greeted in heaven by Christ and family on April 4, 2022.

Rancy loved his family very much and they were his motivation. He was a proud U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1963 to 1970 with multiple tours in Viet Nam. For 34 years he was employed by RF Chamberland out of St. Agatha. He was very proud of his Peterbilt and driving record and it was during his employment with them that he obtained the handle RT which he proudly displayed on his license plate. He loved taking time to fish and hunt with anyone that would go with him or alone. For over 20 years he used his Master Guide's license to guide for his daughter and son-in-law's sporting business. He was passionate about guiding, spending time with the hunters and enjoying the woods. Rancy was always respectful, gentle, compassionate, patient and his extended family often called on him.

Left in grief are his wife of 50 years, Nola; son, Tommy (Diana) Benedict; daughters, Candice (Mike) Hafford and Cindy (Bobby) Hafford. In addition to his grandchildren, TJ, Kelsey, Logan, Jayd, Abagayle, Katessa and Cameron, he leaves behind 5 great-grandchildren. He also leaves siblings, Benjamin (Debra) Begin and Ramona (Richard) Morse. Sadly, he was predeceased by his parents, Benjamin and Ida Begin; as well as his brother, Charles Begin.

Funeral arrangements by Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at the Allagash Baptist Church on April 30, 2022, at 2 p.m. with Gary Gardner officiating. Due to Covid-19, please wear a mask.
