Obituary

CROSS LAKE – Raynold Pelletier, 93, of Cross Lake, Maine passed away peacefully on May 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.  Born on July 16, 1931, to Joseph and Estelle (Guerette) Pelletier, Raynold spent nearly his entire life in the community he loved.  Throughout Raynold's work years, he farmed the family farm in Daigle, worked at the former Potato Starch Factory in Fort Kent and retired from Great Northern Paper Company where he was a boiler  operator.  Raynold's lifetime passion was his family. His biggest joy was when he was surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In 1954, Raynold married his love, Rolande Soucy and celebrated his 70th wedding anniversary with her in December, 2024. He is also survived by six of his seven children, Linda Shaw (Larry) of Presque Isle, Dean Pelletier (Debbie) of Brunswick, Donna Pelletier (Ron) of Scarborough, David Pelletier (Joyce) of Wallagrass, Ricky Pelletier (Nancy) of Lewiston, and Ken Pelletier (Jamie) of Soldier Pond. Mark Pelletier formally of Bath passed away in 2015. In addition to his wife and children, Raynold leaves behind his 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several bonus great grandchildren.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the St. Louis Church.  Interment will be held immediately following the Mass at the Daigle Cemetery.  A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date where condolences and memories may be shared.  Donations in Raynold's memory can be made to the New Canada Community Century Memorial fund, 1809 Caribou Rd., New Canada, ME 04743.
