Madawaska---Reginald Raymond, 87, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2017 at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born in Madawaska on January 19, 1930, son of the late Henry, Sr., and Regina (Bernard) Raymond. Reginald served four years in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 147 of Madawaska. After his return home from the Army, he met his wife Mildred and began his family. Reginald was a Scout Master for troop 190 for many years. He was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. His greatest achievement was his family. He loved and adored spending time with his children, grandchildren, and extended family. He is survived by eight children, Norma Cushing and her husband Alan of Madawaska, Susan Raymond of Madawaska, Jackie Beaulieu and her husband Yvon of Green River, NB, Cecile Raymond of Edmundston, Reginald Raymond, Jr. of Edmond, OK, Kenneth Raymond and his wife Brenda of Wilton, Helen Hebert and her husband Steve of Madawaska, Sharon Raymond of Caribou; nineteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; five siblings, Albert Raymond and his wife Lorraine of Illinois, Chris Raymond and his wife Leila of Florida, Lorraine Ducas of Edmundston, Geraldine Pelletier and her husband Raymond of Sanford, Gerald Raymond of Madawaska; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Mildred in December of 2015; his four siblings, Henry Raymond, Jr., Lionel Raymond, Mary Jane Levesque, Reno Raymond. A Mass of Christian Burial and a Celebration of Life will be held 10am on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6pm-8pm on Friday and from 9am until 9:45am on Saturday before the Service. Interment will be held in the Parish Cemetery immediately following the service.
