Madawaska---Rella Cyr, 83, died unexpectedly as a result of a motor vehicle accident on June 10, 2013. She was born in Grand Isle on September 17, 1929, daughter of the late Emile and Deline (Cyr) St. Amant. Rella enjoyed shopping, playing bingo, and trips to Hollywood Slots. She was a faithful communicant of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and a member of the America Legion Auxiliary. Her greatest love was her family, especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter, Pat Bourgoin and her husband Mike of Madawaska; three sons, Richard Cyr and his wife Lorraine of Frenchville, Jim Cyr and his wife Linda of St. David, Peter Cyr and his wife Sandra of Madawaska; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three step sisters, Bertha, Loretta, Cecile; four step-brothers, Paul, Valere, Clarence, and Richard; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Rosaire Cyr in 2009, one grandson, Travis Cyr, by several siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 3pm on Thursday, June 13 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 2pm until 2:45pm on Thursday. Interment will be held immediately following the service at the Parish cemetery. Contributions in Rella's memory may be made to the Edgar J.
