Obituary

Madawaska---Reynold J. Labbee, 79, passed away on September 20, 2010 at a Madawaska health care facility. He was born in Fort Kent on January 12, 1931, son of the late Ernest and Cecelia (Gagnon) Labbee. Reynold worked for Pratt and Whitney in the East Hartford plant for twenty nine years until his retirement in 1987. He enjoyed fishing and camping, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family at his camp in Wallagrass. Reynold is survived by his loving wife of fifty nine years, Gilberte (Nedeu) Labbee of Madawaska; two daughters, Claudette Alaimo and her husband Thomas of Enfield, CT, and Marianne "Mimi" White and her husband Timothy also of Enfield, CT; two sons, Paul Labbee and his companion Debra Keller of Louisiana, and Patrick Nelson of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Lisa, Lauren, and Jessica; one great-grandson, Brayden; his sister, Esther Labbee of Stafford Springs, CT; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Augustine Daigle and Burdick Williams; and by two brothers, Carol and Danford Labbee. The family would like to thank Hospice of Aroostook for wonderful care and assistance they provided. A Funeral Service will be held 11AM on Friday, September 24 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 9AM until time of service on Friday. Interment will be held immediately after the service at the St. John Vianney Cemetery in Wallagrass. Contributions in Reynolds memory maybe made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
