3-6-39 ~ 3-28-18, Richard C. Clavette, 79, of Madawaska, passed in the early morning hours of March 28, 2018, at a Presque Isle health care facility after a brief illness. He worked as an
auto-mechanic
for many years until an industrial accident crippled him for life. Once he was able to walk again, he found great satisfaction working at the Fraser Guest House, as
groundskeeper
. His strong work ethics were taught to all who worked for him. Richard was a member of the Madawaska Fire Department for many years, where he forged lifelong friendships. He enjoyed: hunting, making puzzles, going for rides, spending time with his grandsons, and sitting on the porch. He is survived by his three children, Micheline Epstein and her companion Joshua of Brooks, ME, Daniel Clavette and his husband Brendan of Revere, MA, and Phil Clavette of Madawaska; three grandsons, Nicholas Epstein and his companion Dee of Madawaska along with their son Elijah - Richard's great grandson, Joshua Epstein and his companion Danielle of Fort Kent and Zack "peewee" Epstein and his companion Katie of Orono; six brothers and sisters, Jimmy Clavette and his wife Diane of St. David, George Clavette and his wife Sandy of New Britain, CT, Roger Clavette and his wife Elaine of Klamath Falls, OR, Maxine Clavette of St Agatha, Norman Clavette of Madawaska, and Reno Clavette and his wife Susan of Goldendale, WA. Richard is
pre-deceased
by his wife Georgette "Theriault" Clavette in 2005, his mother Cecile "Picard" Clavette in 2002 and his father Albert Clavette in 1961. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on April 14,
