Obituary

Madawaska--- Richard 'Dick' G. Coltart, 72, was born on March 18, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois. He sadly left us on February 21, 2022, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bangor.  Richard served his country proudly with loyalty, honor, and distinction in the U.S Army and U.S Army National Guard. He protected our borders as an immigration officer untill his retirement at age 60. Richard was an avid collector of comics, Legos, cards, and coins, which he enjoyed sharing with others. Richard and his best friend Ripley are together again. Richard is survived by his soulmate and loving wife of almost 53 years, Lynda (LaChance) Coltart; his beloved children, daughter, Stacie Lynn Coltart; son, Sean Richard Coltart; brother, Douglas Coltart, and his wife Okcha; sister, Darlene Coltart and her partner David Willey. He is predeceased by his parents, Richard J. and Auror (Pelletier) Coltart; his dear brother, David Coltart. Funeral services are to be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, 10am at St. David church: which would have been Richard and Lynda's 53 rd wedding anniversary. There will be a one-hour visitation from 8:30-9:30am at Lajoie Funeral Home in Madawaska. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
