Madawaska---Ricky James McKinney, 66, passed away unexpectedly on October 1, 2014 at his residence in Madawaska. He was born in Madawaska on February 2, 1948, son of the late Edgar and Margaret (Bourgeois) McKinney. After graduating high school, Ricky served in Vietnam with the United States Army. He is a member of the American Legion, Thomas O. Cyr, Post 147 of Madawaska. He is survived by one sister, Dacia Paradis and her significant other, Bert Collin of Wells; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Wendell McKinney; and his nephew Chad Paradis. A Funeral Service will be held 10am on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Lajoie Funeral Home in Madawaska. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 9am until time of service on Monday. Interment with military honors will be held at the St. Thomas Cemetery immediately following the service.
