IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ricky J
Theriault
June 22, 1955 – December 4, 2025
St. Francis--- Ricky J. Theriault, 70, passed unexpectedly December 4, 2025, after sustaining injuries following a traffic accident. He was born June 22, 1955 in Fort Fairfield, the oldest child of the late Joel and Mary Mae (Ouellette) Theriault and was raised and lived his entire life in St. Francis.
Ricky was a lifelong lumberjack and logger. He never took a day off from work and was rumored to have been born with a chainsaw in his hand. For many years, he and his brother, Terry, were co-owners of Theriault Logging, until his retirement in 2004, following an injury. Ricky adored the woods and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Any hour that he wasn't working was spent on the waters or in the woods of the North Maine Woods. He was a former volunteer of the St. Francis Fire Department and a former EMT.
He is survived by his wife and life partner of over 50 years, Barbara (Savoy) Theriault of St. Francis; two daughters, Pamela Dubois and her husband Scott of St. John, and Carrie Theriault of Van Buren; five grandchildren, Ian, Gabriel, Rikki Lynn, Karlee, and Taylor; six siblings, Joella Theriault, Terry Theriault and his wife Lisa, Bruce Theriault and his wife Fanny, Doleen Hill and her husband Nathan, Ivan Theriault and his wife Camilla, and Tom Theriault and his wife Tina; a special uncle, Melvin Theriault and his wife Jeanita; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Ricky was predeceased by a daughter, Amy Theriault, in 2014.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on December 29, 2025 at St. Charles Church, St. Francis, Maine. Relatives and friends may greet the family on December 28, 2025 from 6pm-8pm at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent. Spring interment will be in the parish cemetery.
