Madawaska---Rina (Cyr) Corno passed away on April 22, 2026, at a local health care facility. She was born on October 18, 1951, in St. David, the daughter of Hector and Marthe (Clavette) Cyr. She is remembered for her warm heart, strong spirit, and deep devotion to her family.

Rina loved animals, especially her dogs, who brought her great comfort and joy throughout her life. She was an excellent cook and baker, best known for her delicious chocolate chip cookies, which became a family favorite.

She was a devoted aunt who deeply loved her nieces and nephews, treasuring every moment spent together. Whether it was a gathering, a simple visit, or shared laughter, she found her greatest happiness in being with those she loved.

After experiencing several strokes, she resided in assisted living. She was affectionately known for her outspoken nature, was the leader of the garden club and part of the resident council who brought up resident concerns. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards. Some health challenges continued surviving a battle with breast cancer.

Rina leaves behind sister, Rolande and her husband Ronald, brother, Hector, of New York; sister, Claudette Theriault of Newington, CT., and brother, Ghislain Levesque and his wife Claudette of St. David; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service on May 18, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at the St. David Cemtery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
