Madawaska--- Rita Cormier, 86, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2022 at the Aroostook House of Comfort in Presque Isle. Rita was born on September 11, 1935, daughter of the late Edmund and Bernadette (Grenier) Cormier. Rita is survived by her sister, Suzanne Greenan of Tewksbury, Massachusetts; one brother in-law, John Reppucci of Beverly, Massachusetts; along with several nieces and nephews, Erica, TJ, Stacie, Keith, Kerri, Mathew. Her special friends, Theresa Cyr, Mona and Phil Cote, Dick and Sue Michaud.  The Assembly of God in Fort Kent was where she met all her Fort Kent friends, where she cherished many happy memories. Rita is predeceased by her parents; one sister, Dianne M. Reppucci; one brother in-law, William Greenan. A Celebration of Life will take place at Lajoie Funeral Home on Friday, August 5, 2022. A public viewing will be held from 2-4pm and a prayer service from 4-5pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Aroostook House of Comfort, Po Box 867, Presque Isle, ME 04769. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
