Madawaska---Rita A. Deprey, 92, passed away on December 21, 2013 at a Madawaska health care facility. She was born in Green River, New Brunswick on August 22, 1921, daughter of the late Pierre and Louise (Clavette) Cyr. Rita was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and she also completed her Cursillo at the Christian Life Center in Frenchville. She is living her fourth day. She was a homemaker most of her life, and worked especially hard to bring up her family. She is survived by four daughters, Diane Poirier and her husband George of Bucksfield, Mary Ann Cyr of Edmundston, Barbara Kelly and her husband Mark of Colorado, Janie Marquis and her husband Jacques of Madawaska; two sons, David Deprey and his wife Karen of Fort Kent, Steven Deprey and his wife Sandra of Frenchville; thirteen grandchildren, Fourteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by her husband Alyre Deprey in 1993; her daughter Bernice Deprey in 2006; her son-in-law, Roger Cyr in 2012, and all of her siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, December 27, 2013 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Thursday and from 9am until 9:45am on Friday before the service.
