Madawaska - Rita Pelletier 92 of Madawaska, ME, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2022, at Ridgewood Estates with her family at her side.  She was born July 2, 1930, in Ville Dégelis PQ Canada.  She was predeceased by her husband Michel Pelletier of Madawaska.  She is survived by her son Roger Pelletier and his wife Louise of Dedham, ME, two loving granddaughters Danielle Robinson and her husband Terry of Gray, ME, and Rebecca Henault and her husband Michael of Cheshire MA.  Rita had four great grandchildren whom she adored; Olivia and Natalie Robinson and Joey and Jacob Henault.  She is also survived by her brothers Paul Lavoie and Maurice Lavoie, both of Quebec City;  her brother Jean Lavoie of Montreal and her sister Ghislaine Blanchet of Ville Dégelis PQ and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.  Rita loved watching her favorite hockey team, the Montreal Canadiens and her favorite baseball team, the Boston Red Sox.  She was an excellent bowler and enjoyed the many friendships she made throughout her life.  She enjoyed telling jokes and always looked forward to family gatherings.  Rita enjoyed her time at Ridgewood Estates where she was so graciously cared for and compassionately loved.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday July 14, 2023, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madawaska ME.
