Madawaska --- Rita A. Saucier, 83, passed away on October 29, 2017, at a Madawaska health care facility. She was born on October 14, 1934 in Edmundston, NB of the late Edgar and Gabrielle (Lemelin) Levesque. She enjoyed the outdoors and the simplicity of life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She raised five strong children who will miss her dearly.  She is survived by her five children, Elaine Dumond and her husband Don of Madawaska, Diane Stroud and her companion Phil of Madawaska, Rick Saucier of Florida, Sandra Caron and her husband Bill of Fort Kent, Jenny Saucier of Fort Kent; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Hugette Poirer of Montreal, PQ and Helene Gogan and her husband Jim of Madawaska, ME; Three brothers; Jacques Levesque and his wife Lise of Quebec, Gilles Levesque and his wife Louiselle of Sept-isles, PQ, Paul Levesque of Alberta; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Saucier; one brother, Lionel Levesque. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. At the request of the family, there will be no visiting hours or receiving line. Interment will be held after the service in the Parish cemetery.
