Fort Kent---Rita Taggart, 89, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2025, at a local health care facility.  She was born in St. Francois, New Brunswick on June 15, 1936, daughter of the late Joseph and Emelia (Bouchard) Dionne.  Besides her parents, Rita was predeceased by her loving husband, Milford Taggart; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonide (Annette), Normand (Patsy), Adelard (Jeannine), and Gerard; her sisters and brother-in-law, Sr. Germaine, Yvette (Gerard) and Simone.  She is survived by her daughters, Mona (Dave) Bouchard of Fort Kent, Debbie (Gary) Lessard of Lewiston, Connie and her life partner, Ian Lane of Portsmouth, NH; one grandson, Logan Lessard of Lewiston; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Rita led a full, active life and will be missed by all who loved her.  At Rita's request, funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Edgar J.
