St. David---Robert H. Roy, 84, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012 at a Portland health care facility. He was born in Madawaska on January 4, 1928, son of the late Adelard and Marie Rosalina (Fortin) Roy. He worked for over twenty five years at Fraser Paper. Robert was a member of the American Legion , Post #___ of Madawaska. He is survived by his six children, Jane Tello and her husband John of Purcellville, VA, Louise Dibenedetto and her husband Joseph of Wakefield, MA, Rose Marie Angell and her husband Glenn of Whitefield, George Roy and his wife Judy of Lisbon Falls, Denise Dubois and her husband Daniel of Westbrook, Andrew Roy and his wife Elizabeth of South Berwick; thirteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Rachel (Albert) Roy; his nine siblings, Louis Phillippe, Gesele, Leo, Arthur, Norman, Corine, Pauline, Constance, Laurette. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the St. David Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Wednesday and from 8:30am until time of service on Thursday. Burial will be held later in the spring in the parish cemetery.
