MADAWASKA - Robert Sirois, 81 years, 11 months, passed away March 5, 2011, at Mercy Home, Eagle Lake. He was born April 17, 1929, in Frenchville, the son of Charles and Olive (Sirois) Sirois. Robert was a fourth degree member of Knights of Columbus, Madawaska. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Lucille Marie (Plourde) Sirois of Frenchville; two sons, William Sirois and his wife, Christine, of Merrimac, N.H., and David Sirois and his wife, Kathleen, of Appleton, Wis.; four brothers, Valere and Charles Sirois, both of Madawaska, Claude Sirois of Frenchville and Hermel Sirois of St. Agatha; one sister, Theresa Signorille of Stamford, Conn.; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to both parents, Robert was predeceased by four brothers, Lucien, Conrad, Louis and Bertrand; and one sister, Sister Corine Sirois. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Lajoie Funeral Home, Madawaska. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Spring burial will be held at the parish cemetery.
