SALEM, MA – Rodney M. Albert, 36 of Salem died unexpectedly Thursday, August 10, 2017 in Salem. He was born on July 24, 1981 in Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada he was the son of Joan (Pelletier) Albert the late Alan Albert. As a child, Rodney was happiest hanging out with friends while sitting behind a drum set. Music was an influential part of his life. As an adult, his love of photography flourished. He explored and often shot images of abandoned places, producing images from a prospective that most people never get the chance to experience. Rodney worked in kitchens all around Beverly and Salem where he developed many loyal friendships. Some of the places include Longboards in Salem, he was the former Head Chef at The Indo in Beverly, and also worked at The Naumkeag Ordinary in Salem. His friends and colleagues say, "when he laughed in the kitchen, it was the best!" In addition to his mother Joan Albert of Madawaska, ME; Rodney is survived by his sister, Amy Plourde and her husband Gary and their son Nathan of Otisfield, ME; his brother, Erik Albert of Westbrook, ME; his grandmother, Therese Albert of Madawaska, ME and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his father, Alan Albert. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. There will be no visiting hours. Interment will be held in the Parish Cemetery immediately following the Service.
