Obituary

Madawaska--- Roger C. Albert, 71, peacefully entered into rest June 19, 2023, following several years of failing health. He was born December 6, 1951, in Edmundston, NB, Canada, a son of the late Edgar and Grace (Fournier) Albert.

Roger enlisted in the US Army and served in Korea. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to the St. John Valley. He worked at Pelletier Construction for many years as a heavy equipment operator. Roger enjoyed watching racing and playing cards with his parents, siblings, and friends. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion, Madawaska.

He is survived by two sisters, Paula Lizotte of Madawaska and Carol Cochrane and her husband Jeff of Fairfield, CA; a special friend and confidant, Reggie Michaud; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Roger was predeceased by two siblings Gloria McCann and Gerald Albert.

A graveside service will be celebrated at 1 PM on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Maine Veterans Cemetery, Lombard Road, Caribou, with military honors.
