Obituary

Grand Isle/ Lille--- Roger J. Beaulieu Sr., 79, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at a Portland hospital. He was born June 6, 1937 in Grand Falls, NB, Canada, a son of the late Antoine and Rose-Anna (Michaud) Beaulieu.
Roger was the owner and operator of former Lille Garage for about 25 years and then worked for Ouellette Construction, Madawaska. Even after his retirement, he continued working with his son, Roger Jr., for Jr. Ceramics & Carpentry, Lille. He was a long-time 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a former volunteer and Chief of Lille Fire Department. Roger was an avid golfer and considered it his new "full time" job. He enjoyed getting together with his friends and family for their weekly poker and cribbage games or getting his hands dirty in the garden. He will be fondly remembered by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren for the loving ways he made each one of them feel special and unique.
He is survived by: his wife of 56 years, Edwina (Parent) Beaulieu of Van Buren; four children, Debbie Henderson and her husband David of Hodgdon, Roger Beaulieu Jr. and his wife Patricia, Cheryl Levesque and her long-time companion Ken Cormier, all of Lille, and Ricky Beaulieu and his long-time companion Serena Damboise of Terryville, CT; four siblings, Gilbert Beaulieu and his wife Jeannine of Ottawa, ON, Canada, Noella Michaud of Coventry, CT, Camille Beaulieu and his wife Simone of Grand Falls, NB, Canada, and Antoine Beaulieu and his wife Emmeline of St. John, NB, Canada; thirteen grandchildren, Amy, Jeanie, Chrisy, Jessica, Erica, Gregory, Matthew, Felicia, Brittany, Andrew, Lucas, Tiffany & Brianna; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Roger is predeceased by fourteen siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Main St., Van Buren. Relatives and friends may greet the family Tuesday morning 9-10:45 AM at the church. Spring interment will be in Grand River Cemetery, Van Buren. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
