Van Buren--- Roger J. Lajoie, 67, died after a short illness December 3, 2021, at Cary Medical Center, Caribou. He was born August 19, 1954, in Van Buren, a son of the late Raymond and Lucelle (Soucy) Lajoie.

Roger was a veteran of the US Army and was a life member of the American Legion, Van Buren. He was employed in various occupations during his lifetime in his beloved hometown of Van Buren, and he always found ways to keep himself busy, especially with his favorite hobby of collecting scrap metal.

His is survived by: his wife of 45 years, Jackie (Thibodeau) Lajoie of Van Buren; one daughter, Shelly Lajoie and her companion Gerard Perreault of Van Buren; one son, Bruce Lajoie and his wife Adriana of Bristol, CT; a foster son, Justin Cormier of Van Buren; sister, Gloria Goldin of Caribou; two foster grandsons, Lance and Dom Cormier, whom he loved very much; many brothers and sisters-in-law; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, Roger was predeceased by one brother, Clarence Soucy.
