Madawaska---Ronald J. Cyr (Cy), 73, passed away February 3, 2023, in Madawaska.  He was born in Madawaska on December 10, 1949, son of the late Gilbert J. and Elsie (Levesque) Cyr.  After graduating from the Madawaska High School, Cy enlisted in the US Army serving in Vietnam.  His favorite hobby was playing cribbage and collecting things.  He had a profound love for his cat, Babe.  He was a quiet and simple man.  Cy is survived by one daughter, Erica Koch and her husband Nick of Litchfield, Maine; one grandson, John Edward Koch of Litchfield, Maine; four sisters, Lorraine Cyr and her companion Claude Blanchette of Madawaska, Nancy Bourgoin and her husband Gaetan of Madawaska, Judy Tardif and her husband Jean-Guy of St. Agatha, Sharon Cyr and her companion Daniel Plourde of Madawaska.  He is also survived by one niece and five nephews.  He was predeceased by one sister, Linda C. Speed.  In keeping with Cy's wishes, there will be no services.
