VAN BUREN - Ronald Joseph Cyr was born in Grand Isle on April 28th, 1954, and unexpectedly passed away at home on November 28th, 2019. He was the beloved son of Joan Ouellette Cyr, and predeceased by his father, Cyr Ronald Cyr.

Ron enjoyed restoring and working on his classic cars, for which he was well known in the community. Ron turned this passion into a successful profession of delivering custom car parts and body work accessories throughout Aroostook County. His knowledge in this area was well respected and valuable to multiple auto body repair shops located from Fort Kent to Houlton.

He was a loving, generous brother to his sisters, Lorraine and Geri; and brothers, Glenn and Mark. Ron was close to his extended family, including two brothers-in-law, Ken and Lionel; one sister-in law, Lolita. He is also survived by nephew, Justin and his wife, Eileen; and great-niece, Nora. He is also survived by three nieces, Ashley and her husband, Fred and their children, Joey and Gemma; Amber and her husband, Kevin and their children, Raegan and Easton; and Crystal and her husband, Dan and their daughters, Violette and Remie. There are many surviving cousins. He was especially close to Allen Ouellette and Herman Cyr (Papou).

A funeral will be planned later in the spring and posted in the St. Bruno Catholic Church bulletin. In lieu of flowers you may donate to the Crohn's Foundation,
