Obituary

Fort Kent--- Ronald L. Nadeau, 65, passed away unexpectedly June 28, 2023. He was born in Ontario, Canada on December 9, 1957, a son of Florence (Dumais) Nadeau and the late Albert Nadeau and was raised in Fort Kent.

Ron was a Sergeant with the Maine Army Nation Guard and served over 30 years. He worked many years with Dead River as a fuel delivery driver. Previously he worked at the former Irving Mill in St. John and as a loader for former Northland Frozen Foods. Ron loved hunting and fishing in the north woods. When he wasn't working, his passion was taking to the open road on his motorcycle and touring the St. John Valley.

His is survived by his mother of Fort Kent; five siblings, Joanne Slough and husband Lonnie of Virginia, Marlene Nadeau of Portland, Patsy Eagleson and her husband Craig of Connecticut, Raymond Nadeau of Fort Kent, and Albert "Ben" Neadeau Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Madawaska; several nieces, a nephew, and many cousins.

Relatives and friends may greet the family 4 – 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent. Military Honors and interment will be at 12 noon on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Lombard Rd, Caribou.
