Obituary

Grand Isle---Ronald G. Pelletier, 76, passed away on April 27, 2025, at a Fort Kent health care facility.  He was born in Madawaska on August 18, 1948, son of the late Arthur and Blanche (Levesque) Pelletier. Known for his gentle spirit and unwavering kindness, Ron touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.  He had a big heart and always loved making people smile by gifting them things they needed or wanted.  He loved having people over for a cup of coffee and a good conversation at his kitchen table.  After graduating from Madawaska High School, Ron enlisted in the United States Marines, where he served in Vietnam.  He is survived by two daughters, Marlaina Pelletier of Grand Isle and Rhonda Wilson of Madawaska; five grandchildren, Domonique Garcia and his wife Giselle of Goodyear, AZ, Shadai Garcia of Goodyear, AZ, Shaina Garcia of Grand Isle, Austin Wilson, and Danika Wilson both of Madawaska; one great grandchild, Jordani Garcia of Goodyear, AZ; his companion of eighteen years, Lourdes Batiao of Philippines; Jessica Grice and Robert Lindsey, III who he raised in his younger years as if they were his own; four siblings, Theresa Gervais of Van Buren, Mildred Bishop of Caribou, Madeleine Sanborn and her husband, Ed of Madawaska, James Pelletier and his wife Lisa of Southington, CT; many nieces and nephews; his longtime friend and neighbor, Leo Lagasse of Grand Isle.  A graveside Service will be held at 11am on June 13, 2025, at the Caribou Veteran's Cemetery.
