Madawaska-- Ronald " Ron " Michaud, 72, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 2, 2021 after a long illness. He was born on November 7, 1948, son of the late Eugene and Yvonne " Michaud " Michaud. He will be dearly missed by his family who celebrates that he is at peace and no longer suffering. His final days were peaceful with the tender loving care and dedication of the High View family. He was a graduate of Madawaska High School, and a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus.   He was a prominent business owner of our town, owned and operated Napa, Madawaska Auto parts for over 35 yrs.  Ron was an avid hunter & fisherman, a lover of nature.  He enjoyed his home on Long Lake, which was his favorite place, and his camp in the Allagash for many years.  He will be missed by so many hunting and fishing buddies. He was born to the late Eugene and Yvonne " Michaud " Michaud. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 yrs, Norma (Plourde) Michaud.   One son, Kassey Michaud his wife Heidi and grandson, Lucas of Long Lake.   One daughter, Dena Lamontagne, of Long Lake, granddaughter, Kaitlyn Lamontagne and her fiancé, Devin Bourque of North Berwick. One sister, Joan Michaud Cyr of Madawaska. Sister in Laws, Claudette Cyr and Louiselle Levesque of Saint Jacques. Brother in Laws Claude Plourde & Gaetane, of Edmundston, Yves Plourde & Ginette of Edmundston.  Gilles Roy & Line, of Edmundston. Donald Albert of Saint Andre.  Many Nieces and Nephews whom he cherished each and every way. He was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers, Herman & Joseph Michaud.  2 sisters, Viola Michaud Burnside and Gladys Michaud Brown. There will be a private Family ceremony in the Spring. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home in Madawaska.
