Madawaska---Ronaldo Morin, 93, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2021, at a Madawaska health care facility. He was born in Madawaska, on May 17, 1928, son of the late Charles and Melvina (Clavette) Morin. Ronaldo was a devout Catholic and was a communicant of St. Thomas Church. He served in the United States Army, Korean Conflict, 1st Cavalry Division. Ron was a member of the American Legion Post 147 and the Knights of Columbus, council #2638 both in Madawaska. He was also a lifetime member of the DAV and the 40/8. Ronaldo was a print shop foreman at the St. John Valley Times until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, bowling, doing jig saw puzzles. He loved playing cards with family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his family. He is survived by six children, Debbie Gantnier and husband Mike of Madawaska, Rebecca Cyr and husband Steve of Van Buren, Gregory Morin of Madawaska, Monique Morin of Gorham, Jennifer Dionne and husband Ron of Grand Isle, Matthew Morin and wife Jennifer of Missouri; his grandchildren, Randy and Rodney Devost, Jenna Cyr, Brittany Levesque, Emma Dickinson, Taylor Silva, Alec Dionne, Adrianna and Cayden Morin; two great grandchildren, Abel Levesque and Owen Cyr; one sister, Patricia Soucy and her husband Gil of Madawaska; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Warrena (Dube) Morin; his ten siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Wednesday, January 5, 2021, at the St. Thomas Catholic Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie Funeral Home from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday. There will be no visiting hours Wednesday morning before the funeral.
