Madawaska - Rosaire Blanchette, 97, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2021, at a Caribou healthcare facility.  He was born October 18, 1923, in Fort Kent, ME, the son of the late Fred and Emma (Pelletier) Blanchette.  Rosaire was married for 58 years to the late Blanche (Marquis) Blanchette.

After serving in the Army during WWII, he returned home to Madawaska and worked in the lab at Fraser Paper for two years.  Finding his calling as a pharmacist, he had a 45-year career serving the public from Parent's Rexall, Daigle's Drugstore, Richard's Pharmacy in Van Buren, and finished his career at Brook's Pharmacy.

Most important and the highest of priority for Rosaire was time spent with his family and being ever faithful to his time spent with Jesus Christ while in prayer.

Rosaire is survived by his eight children, Robert Blanchette and his wife Kim of Brooklyn, New York, Rachelle Walsh of Madison, ME, Donald Blanchette and his wife Irene of Madawaska, Monique Danie and her husband Dale of Madawaska, Denis Blanchette of Yarmouth, ME, Charles Blanchette and his wife Tracy of Madawaska, Peter Blanchette and his wife Shelley of Madawaska, and Michelle Blanchette of St. David; along with his fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
