Winterville—Rosaire Thibodeau, 95, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2021 at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born on August 31, 1925, son of the late Urbain and Rose (Bennette) Thibodeau. Rosaire was only 18 years when he enlisted in Army, during WWll. Rosaire moved his family to Connecticut in the early 60's where he worked as a carpenter. When he retired in 1988 he moved back home to Winterville. In his younger days he loved to hunt and fish with his brothers, and later passed that tradition on with his children. He could be found at the American Legion almost every Saturday playing cards with his friends. Rosaire was also a 3 ^rd degree Knights of Columbus member in Eagle Lake, where he helped with Bingo. He called Bingo at the Eagle Lake senior citizen center for many years. Rosaire is survived by two sons, Dale and his Karen Thibodeau of Rockville, Roger and his fiancé Adelle of Vernon; five daughters, Margaret Thibodeau of Winterville, Patricia Devoe and her husband Galen of Eagle Lake, Pauline Lancaster and her husband Ralph of Winterport, Alice Boutot and her husband Albenie of Winterville, Betty Biggs and her husband Anthony of New Jersey; eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Rosaire is predeceased by his parents, Urbain and Rose (Bennette) Thibodeau; two sons, Roland and Paul Thibodeau; his beloved wife Dorothy (Bouchard) Thibodeau who passed in 2007; seven brothers, Louis, Edmund, Lucien, Jim, Bob, Joe, and Frederic; three sisters, Cecile, Irene, Bernice. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on August 27, 2021 at St. Mary church. Family and friends may off their condolences at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home on Thursday August 26, 2021 from 6-8pm, and the morning of the funeral from 8-9:30am.
