Obituary

Van Buren & Caribou--- Rose Anne Fortin, 67, died peacefully Saturday, April 11, 2015, following a long illness. She was born December 10, 1947 in Baker Brook, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Ulric and Rejeanne (Lizotte) Morneault. She worked as a potato processor for several farms and plants all her life until her declining health. She was a devoted mother and was proud to raise her two children. One of her favorite times of year was spring so she could do the "grand manage," or spring cleaning. She enjoyed hunting and fishing in the local area, always sharing her bounty with her family and friends. She is survived by: two children, Wayne Fortin and Sandy of St. Anne, NB, Canada, and Sandra Bittle of Caribou; two sisters, Arlene McGraw of Connecticut and Diane Morneault of California; four grandchildren, Ashley and Corey Fortin and Erica and Chantal Bittle; a great grandchild, Kaydence Harrison; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Rose is predeceased by two sisters, Pauline and Jeannine Morneault. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Relatives and friends may greet the family Wednesday morning, 910:30 AM at Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren, ME. Spring interment will be in Grand River Cemetery, Van Buren.
