Allagash---Roy Erik Gardner (October 13, 1978 – April 5, 2024) Roy Erik Gardner, affectionately known as "Gardner," peacefully departed this world on April 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving family on the serene banks of the Allagash River. It was a place he often sought solace—a true home where his heart found refuge.  Gardner's passions were deeply rooted in the natural world. He reveled in the thrill of hunting, the tranquility of fishing, and the rugged adventures of Jeeping through wooded landscapes. But perhaps nothing brought him more joy than the crackling fire on the bank of the Allagash River, where he would sit, mesmerized by the sunsets that painted the sky.  His love for the outdoors was an unwavering call—a beckoning to explore, to connect with nature's beauty, and to find peace in its embrace. Throughout the county, Gardner was cherished by many. His infectious laughter, boundless kindness, and genuine love will be missed by all whose lives he touched. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth and memories. Erik is survived by his devoted mother, Debra McBreairty, his father, Roy Gardner Jr., and his beloved grandfather, Roy Gardner Sr.; his significant other, Melanie Plourde, who shared in his adventures and held a special place in his heart. Erik's extended family, including his aunt Molly Pangburn and her family, and a special friend, Matt Morgan who will forever hold his memory.  As the sun sets on Erik's earthly journey, we look forward to the day we all reunite on those celestial shores. 🌿 A Graveside Service will be held at the Allagash Cemetery on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
