Fort Kent---Roy J. Lausier, passed away on January 18, 2023, at the age of 81 at a Fort Kent health care facility after a brief illness. He was born in Eagle Lake on September 7, 1941, son of the late Fernand and Marie (Vaillancourt) Lausier. Roy was a salesman for over 60 years. He dabbled in everything from souvenirs to sandwiches in his many business ventures. People liked to joke that they were sure Roy had the first dollar he ever made. During all his various endeavors he always had the love and support of his high school sweetheart Roberta (Bobbie Dumond) Lausier. They were married for over 61 years. Roy was a deeply religious soul who loved going to daily mass when he could and prayed his rosary every morning upon rising. He loved watching Hallmark Movies and sneaking chips or sweets when he thought Bobbie wasn't looking. He was as stubborn as a mule but loved his family beyond measure. His grandchildren loved watching Pep pull out his wad of money secured with his money clip so he could dole out a few bucks to "get yourself a treat".  Roy is survived by his wife, Bobbie; daughters Linda Lausier-Phillips and her husband Chris, Michele Martin and her husband Albert and son Chris Lausier and his wife Shelley (Pelletier) Lausier. He was known as Pep to his grandchildren, Kyle Gervais and wife Jennifer (Michaels) Gervais, Christopher Gervais and his wife Kristine Wagstaff, Erin Hopkins and her husband Tim, Lacey Collin and her husband Tony, Bryce and Mallory Lausier and his great grandchildren, Willow and Knox Collin, Hudson and Sullivan Gervais, Julian Wagstaff and Emme and Hayley Hopkins.  Roy also leaves his sister, Rose Marie Levasseur and her husband Will Lamarre; and brother Reno Lausier. Roy was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Ralph; and grandson, Colby Martin.  He will be dearly missed by his cat and snuggle buddy, Coon aka Zoey.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, June 2, 2023, at the St. Louis Church.  In keeping with Roy's wishes, there will be no visiting hours.
