It is with great sadness that the family of Sandra (Libby) Desjardins announces her passing on January 26, 2021. Sandy, 76, was born in Boston, MA to John and Mary Libby.  Sandy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wally Desjardins, and her daughter, Dawn Marie. She is survived by her 4 children: Denise Witmer husband Scott, Peter Desjardins wife Sheri, Robin Reed husband John, and David Desjardins wife Serina. Her 10 grandchildren: Briana, Georgianna, and Mariana Witmer, Chloe and Mackenzie Reed, Sean, Brendan, Madison, Isabelle, and Grace Desjardins. Her siblings: John Libby, wife Mary, Janet Dufour husband Dave, Judi Neptune husband John, Jill Beyer husband Barry. And her in-laws: Christy Plourde, Bob & Betty Desjardin, Herman & Doretta Desjardins, Herbert & Jessie Desjardins. Sandy grew up in Fort Kent and Madawaska, where she married Wally. They raised their family in New Jersey, where she worked as a lab technician, vacationing every year on Eagle Lake. They retired to a home he built for her on the lake. She was a member of the Northern Maine Quilters and an accomplished quilter. She recently finished a personal quilt for each of her grandchildren, whom she adored. She was proud to take an active part, with her guild, in sewing the Can-Am Quilt. She was also an honorary member of the FK Rotary Club. She loved learning new quilting techniques, spending time with her sisters, and playing cards with friends and family. She will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace with Wally in the arms of the angels. A Mass of Christian will be celebrated on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 10am, at St. Louis church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home.
