Obituary

WALLAGRASS/Eagle Lake – Sandra Mae (Pelletier) Pinette, 70, passed away on January 27, 2020 at her home while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Eagle Lake, April 1, 1949, the youngest of six children of her late parents, David and Anita (Austin) Pelletier.  She graduated from Fort Kent High School, Class of 1967.  Sandra worked hard, often having multiple jobs at a time to help make ends meet.  She worked many years as a CNA, home care, restaurant cook, waitress, babysitter, bar tender, and house cleaner.  She was dedicated to raising and providing for her children and attending all of their activities, despite working so many jobs.  Sandra was a resilient woman who overcame various hardships throughout her life with dignity and strength.  She was an amazing cook who enjoyed having big family gatherings at her house. Sandra had a heart of gold and always put everyone's needs ahead of her own.  She loved making crafts for family and friends and got satisfaction from their words of praise.  She was a one of kind that had a passion for life and loved to go out dancing.  Sandra enjoyed shopping, camping with her family, getting her hair and nails done, and eating out.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren that gave her an excuse to cook for everyone.  Sandra's beautiful smile, sense of humor, and easy-going attitude will be forever remembered by all that had the privilege of sharing life with her.  She was predeceased by her first husband of 20 years, Roland Marquis, who passed away unexpectedly in January 1991; two brothers, David Pelletier and his son, Ricky Pelletier; and James Pelletier Sr. and his son, James Pelletier Jr.; and two sisters, Joanne Pelletier and Betty Pelletier and her husband, Patrick Pelletier; and daughter in law, Jill Marquis, wife of, Shawn Marquis.  Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Peter Pinette; four children, Scott Marquis and his wife, Tamesha and their three sons, Christopher, Michael, and Jason; Lorie McGinnis and her two sons, Coty and Austin Jandreau and her husband, Ed and his two sons, Jeremy Pepin and Ryan McGinnis and his son, Isaiah; Brent Marquis and his wife, Karen and their three children, Ethan, Grace, and Eli; and Shawn Marquis (her baby); sister, Peggy Dumond and her husband, James; and many nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to call 6pm to 8pm on Sunday, February 2, 2020 and 8:30am to 9:30am on Monday before the Mass at the Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, 14 East Main Street, Fort Kent.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 3, 2020, at 10:00 AM in the Wallagrass St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be held in the spring at St. Mary's Cemetery in Eagle Lake.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandra's name may be made to: Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund, C/O Northern Maine Medical Center, 194 East Main Street, Fort Kent, ME 04743.
