Madawaska---Shawn Dennis Cote, 44, of Madawaska, Maine, passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 25, 2023.  Shawn was born on October 16, 1978, to Gilman and Nicole (Theriault) Cote in Edmundston, NB Canada. After graduating from Madawaska High School in 1997 he went on to study Carpentry at Northern Maine Technical College. Shawn worked at Twin Rivers Paper Company for the last 12 years. Prior to that he held various jobs in Carpentry and Plumbing. His passion for Carpentry work was evident and he took pride in the skilled work that he performed in fixing up his homes and other side jobs. In his free time, Shawn enjoyed hunting, spending time with his family and attending church.  He is survived by his wife Stephanie and their children Christopher, Bethany, Abigail, Sarah, Ruth and Joshua, his parents, his siblings Carol (Dave) Clark of Attleboro, MA, Linda (Roger) Cote of North Fort Meyers, FL, Sylvie McNeal of Ocala, FL and Melissa (Dan) Dibble of Meriden, CT as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Monday, April 3, 2023, at Christian Life Fellowship located at 641 Main Street in Madawaska. A private graveside service will be held by the family at a future date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Lajoie Funeral Home.
