Fort Kent and Clair, New Brunswick---Shirley G. Jalbert, 82, passed away November 19, 2018 at an Edmundston, N.B. health care facility.  She was born in Connors, New Brunswick, a daughter of the late Donald and Regina (Cyr) Taggart.  She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Jalbert-Gerkens and her husband David of Riverton, NJ; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Jalbert; three siblings, Murray, Milford, and Joyce Taggart.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am (American Time) on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the St. Louis Church in Fort Kent.  Family and friends may offer their condolences at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home from 10am until 10:45am on Saturday before the service.  Spring interment will be held in the parish cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Shirley's name may be made to the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 East Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04743.
