Fort Kent---Stella (Kennedy) Nadeau, 80, passed away May 17, 2023, at an Eagle Lake health care facility. She was born in Lac Baker, New Brunswick on February 1, 1943, daughter of the late Ernest and Aphena (Collin) Kennedy. Stella and her beloved husband owned and operated Peter's Flower Shop and Hallmark Cards. She was known for her work ethic and had a gift of floral design. She worked as a hairdresser in Baker Lake and Fort Kent. She also worked as a hairdresser for the Daigle Nadeau Funeral Home. She was a talented and successful businesswoman alongside her husband until his death in 1997. She had a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party. She is survived by her two children, Marco Nadeau and his wife Jennifer of Fort Kent, Melanie Bickford and her husband Theron of Ludlow; four grandchildren, Derrick, Russel, Jade, Peter; four great grandchildren, Levi, Lewey, Oliver, Nathalie; six siblings, Diane, Gloria, Laurina, Hermel, Edmee, and Edgar; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter; two siblings, Edna and Edmond. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at the St. Louis Church in Fort Kent. Relatives and friends may call at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home from 6-8pm on Tuesday and from 9-9:45am on Wednesday before the Mass.
