Stephen W. Hebert, 61,  of Torrington, CT. passed away on August 12, 2020 after a long illness.

Stephen was born September 2, 1958 in Hartford, CT.  He graduated from High School in Granby, CT  in 1976. Stephen is survived by his mother, Edna H. Day of Madawaska, ME; brother Alan J. Hebert (and wife Leslie) of Belfast, ME; sister Elaine Hall (and husband David Jr.) of Torrington, CT; niece Maegan and nephew David III , both of Torrington. He was predeceased  by his father Leonard W. Hebert and his step-father Stephen S. Day.  Stephen is also survived by step-siblings  Suzanne, Mary, Stephen, Karen, and Jennifer;  special aunt , Helene  Hebert; numerous cousins, including Robert Massa, who was also a good friend.

Stephen had many skills and worked over the years as a carpenter, cook (for many years at High Meadow Resort in N. Granby, CT.), maintenance person, and most recently at Walmart in Torrington.  He was truly a jack- of- all- trades. Stephen was a sports fan,  enjoying  both the Boston Red Sox and the New York Giants. He also enjoyed  puzzles of all types, even the New York  Times crossword.

Stephen's gentle spirit and wry sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Donations in Stephens's memory may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
