Fort Kent---Suzanne Marie Gnyla (nee Lannen) sadly passed away in the early hours of March 29, 2026, at the Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, following complications from heart surgery.

Suzanne was born on August 11, 1950, in Campbellton, New Brunswick, a daughter of Genevieve Lannen (nee Comeau predeceased 2011) and James Charles Lannen of Edmundston, New Brunswick (predeceased 2008).

Suzanne is survived by and will be dearly missed by her loving daughter, Leighann Gnyla (Matt Rousu) of Mount Beauty, Australia. She will be remembered by her 3 sisters, Mary Godin of Ottawa, Ontario, Wendy McKay of Lockport, NY, and Elizabeth (Lee) Lannen (Jean-Gilles Francoeur)of Ottawa, Ontario, as well as, her 3 brothers Peter Lannen of Creston BC, James Lannen of Ottawa, Ontario and Paul Lannen (Lise) of Lac Baker, NB. Suzanne will also be greatly missed and is survived by her many nieces and nephews living throughout Canada and the US

She was pre-deceased by her partner, Jim Hein of Fort Kent, Maine.

Suzanne has requested a private memorial at Lac Baker, New Brunswick. You are at peace now, loving mother, sister, aunt and friend.
