Obituary

Madawaska---At the age of 92 years old, Theresa (Morneault-Boutot) Bellefleur of Madawaska, Maine passed away while surrounded by her loving family at a local health care facility in Fort Kent, Maine.

She came into this World, born the daughter of Annette Boutot of Baker Lake, New Brunswick on a Sunday (June 3rd, 1934 in Baker Lake, New Brunswick) and departed on a Sunday (June 14th, 2026 in Fort Kent, Maine).

Theresa's life was firmly-anchored and enhanced by her marriage to the late Herman Bellefleur (originally from Edmundston, NB) which lasted 52 years.

After their marriage in Edmundston, NB, they moved to Madawaska, Maine and started a long and memorable life together, which included having 6 children that meant the World to her.

These children are: Gerard Bellefleur (husband of the late Wendy Coltart Bellefleur) of Madawaska, Maine, Mike (married to Gail) Bellefleur of Madawaska, Maine, James Bellefleur of Madawaska, Maine, Carol Ann Savoie of Madawaska, Maine, Andrew Bellefleur of Phoenix, Arizona, and lastly, Steven (married to Lise) Bellefleur of Edmundston, New Brunswick.

She also had 5 grandchildren: Nicole Bellefleur Valdron (married to Ryan) from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Eric Bellefleur (married to Danielle) from Lyman, Maine, Renée Bellefleur from Topsham, Maine, Jessica Savoie (Beau) from Madawaska, Maine, and finally, Pierre Savoie (married to Catherine) from St Agatha, Maine.

Beyond that, she also had 8 great-grandchildren: Emmett Valdron, Eleonore Valdron, Carson Bellefleur, Liam Savoie, Alaina Savoie, Conner Bellefleur, Colby Bellefleur, and Jace Savoie.

Aside from spending time with cherished friends and family for the occasional game of cards or bingo, Theresa's life was filled with instances of loving kindness and contributions wherein she volunteered her time and efforts at various places, groups, and functions, such-as with the charitable and social "Daughters of Isabella" group, activities with the residents of the "Ridgewood Estates" care facility in Madawaska, helping with after-funeral buffet meals at her favorite local "St. Thomas Aquinas" church, making clothes through knitting or crocheting to give to local charitable organizations, and so many other instances which are truly too numerous to list here.

Theresa was gifted by God with a heart of gold, and in return, giving of herself and her time was something that was easily and openly done on her part, without hesitation.

Theresa was truly an example of God's love amongst us all during her time here on Earth.

Her ability at being super-crafty with such things as: quilting, decorative cake-baking, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, home-decorating, flower-keeping, or any other thing that she put her hands-to left everyone with a sense of "Awe" at the precision of quality in all her crafts. She could have easily given Martha Stewart a run for her money....and often did-so with the simplest of materials available to her at any given moment.

Her deep faith in God and Jesus Christ kept her in balance when things got rough, and she shared that faith with others, right up to the point of hosting group-prayer-meetings at her home in Madawaska for years on end.

There are so many wonderful things that could be said about Theresa, but to sum it up all succinctly...it could easily be stated that it was all "Made With Love By Theresa".

The family would like to take the time to thank the exceptional staff of doctors, nurses, and care-givers at the Northern Maine Medical Center, lead by the highly-esteemed Dr. James V. Harris for the care that was given to our Mom during her last days here. Their efforts at making Mom's final journey comfortable are most-sincerely, and truly, appreciated!

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Relatives and friends may offer their condolences at the church on Wednesday from 9am until 9:45am.
