Van Buren & Caswell --- Theresa S. Berube, 89, peacefully entered into rest Thursday, April 11, 2019. She was born July 7, 1929 in Hamlin, a daughter of the late Francois and Marie (Roy) Chamberlain.

She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph, Hamlin, was a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne, and a Gold Star Mother of the American Legion Ladies' Auxiliary, Post #49, Van Buren. Theresa devoted her life to her family, raising eight children and doting on her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by: six children, Percy Berube Jr. and his wife Doreen of Van Buren, Lorraine Powers and her husband Albert of Limestone, Diane Deeves of Hamlin, Blanche Street and her husband Barry of Texas, Michael Berube and his wife Cynthia of Limestone, and Elaine Cote and her husband Larry of Caswell; three sisters, Blanche Levesque and her husband Romeo, Lorance Chamberland, all of Van Buren, and Claire Dufour of Connecticut; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Percy Berube Sr. in 1988, two children, Joan King and Roger Berube, and seven siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hamlin. Relatives and friends may greet the family Tuesday morning 9 AM until the time of mass. Spring interment will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are a service of Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren.
