Eagle Lake--- Theresa E. Roy, 82, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, of natural causes at a local health care facility.  She was born on December 18, 1942, the daughter of the late Gordon & Geraldine (LaRouch) Smart.

She is survived by her daughters Laurie & Steven Michaud of Fort Kent and Susan & Ryan L'Italien, Sr.  of Eagle Lake; a brother Daniel Smart of Fort Kent; granddaughter,  Jessica & Brady Desjardins and their son Liam Desjardins, of Fort Kent;  grandson Adrian Smith of North Carolina; grandson Joshua Vaillancourt of Connecticut; step-grandchildren Caitlyn & Ryan L'Italien, Jr. of Fort Kent; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years Philip Roy Sr., her son Philip Allen Roy Jr., brother Paul Vaillancourt, brother Gordon Smart, sister Mildred Plourde

She worked as a CNA most of her life and loved caring for the elderly. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.  In her younger years she loved the outdoors & fishing and hunting with her husband Phil.
