Madawaska---Theresa Violette, 96, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2022, at a Fort Kent health care facility.  She was born in Frenchville on January 16, 1926, daughter of Donat and Ernestine (Rossignol) Nadeau.  Theresa was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.  She was very humble and gracious and loved listening to people speak.  She is survived by seven children, Claire Grondin of Edmundston, Mike Violette and his wife Mary Ellen of Portage Lake, Don Violette and Verna, Carl Violette and his wife Lori of Morrill, Donna Cushman and her husband Paul of Wytopitclock, Lisa Goupille and her husband Dave of Perham, Lynne Moholland of Caribou; 24 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two brothers, Roger Nadeau and his wife Lorraine of Caribou, Normand Nadeau and his wife Anita of Frenchville; many nieces and nephews.  The family wishes to thank the Forest Hill staff for 13 years of excellent care.  Visiting hours will be held from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Lajoie Funeral Home in Madawaska.  A Funeral Service will be held from 2:30pm to 3pm on Saturday, April 30 ^th .  Spring interment will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
